CHALLENGING BEHAVIOUR

Challenging Behaviour is a weekend of shows in London featuring a whole bunch of DIY punk, hardcore and indie bands. It has been set up to raise money to support autistic and/or learning disabled adults in Hackney play and perform music. The money raised will go towards supporting and setting up music workshops, buying equipment and promoting a series of shows with mixed ability line ups.
The festival is primarily a reaction to a gapping hole in Hackney council's approach to supporting vulnerable people.
I will be adding much more information, a poster, facebook event etc over the next few days, so please check this post, but here is the line up for now:

VIOLENT ARREST
First time in london, and a rare live outing from one of the UK's best hardcore bands. Feature the lions share of UKHC legends Ripcord, but doing anything but trading on past glories. Aggressive and direct hardcore punk.

ARMS RACE
Member of Abolition, Stab, XrepentanceX, Think twice and others. Put out the best Hardcore demo of 2013 in my opinion.  Classic NYHC sounds  with a rougher UK edge.

VIOLENT REACTION
Blending SSD, Negative FX, Discharge and out cold, bloody minded straight edge hardcore done right.

THE FLEX
Northern hardcore powerhouse

STAB
Final show from this criminally underrated UKHC outfit.

FRAU
Taut, frantic yet catchy punk, offering a snapshot of what the smiths would have sounded like if everything about them wasn't totally shit. Not favored by people with bad taste, but probably the best band in london right now. Sound like if you played the Nixe at double speed whilst listening to the wrecks.

NO
Hardcore punk from London

STREET BEEF
killer new hardcore band from london. Getting better with every show.
http://streetbeef.bandcamp.com/

JOINT D
More evidence that, despite a sickening lack of public interest, america is still capable of producing musical groups, Joint D sound like whole drive like jehu songs condensed down into sub 2 minute hardcore bangers. Featuring the guitarist of Logic Problem, and taking the sound of that band a couple of steps further. Joint D are playing a headlining show in london a week latter, but will almost definitely be worth catching twice.

WRENCH
First show from new UK band bringing a heavier delivery to the pick your king blueprint. Members of Blind Authority and Arms Race. Well worth turning up early for.
